New President of the Board appointed |

The constitutive session of the Croatian Science Foundation's Board of Members was held on Wednesday 8th May at the Foundation's premises in Zagreb.
Academician Dario Vretenar, from the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Science, received the majority of votes and was thus elected as the new President of the Board.
Professor Dejan Ajduković, PhD, from the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Philosophy, was appointed Vice President of the Board. |

In September 2011 the Foundation signed the Declaration of Commitment to the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers. During 2012, the internal analysis was performed as a base for drafting the Foundation’s Strategic and Action Plan that will follow the principles outlined in the European Charter and Code. After the evealution process, the Croatian Science Foundation received an official acknowledgement “HR Excellence in Research” from the European Commission. On 19 April 2013 the Croatian Parliament appointed the Board members of the Croatian Science Foundation: Professor Dean Ajduković, PhD, Smiljana Goreta Ban, PhD, Professor Stipan Jonjić, PhD, Professor Ljiljana Marks, PhD, Professor Dragan Poljak, PhD, Academician Pavao Rudan and Academician Dario Vretenar. In accordance with the Act on the Croatian Science Foundation, Board President and his Deputy will be elected by the Board members on their constitutive meeting.
